Considered one of Maurice's finest works Tableaux de Provence, a contrasting series of five musical pictures from the area of Provence in France, was composed in the late 1950's and dedicated to his good friend and Sax virtuoso Marcel Mule. The suite comprises Cansoun per ma Mio, Dis Alyscamps l'Amosouspire, Farandoulo di Chatouno, La Boumiano and Lou Cabridan.
